STC (Sound Transmission Class), is a numerical rating of how effective a material is at blocking the transmission of sound through itself. This rating generally applies to hard materials like rubberized sound barriers, concrete, brick and drywall but also applies to a much lesser degree to softer materials like mineral fiber (although it isn?™t tested by itself; it?™s tested as part of a wall system to verify its effectiveness).

How To Install Our Acoutic Polyester Fabric Panel Step By Step
Step 1: Locate the Acoustic Foam For Outline
Lay the Foam out for your specific application. Keep in mind that you want the foam evenly distributed throughout the room.
Step 2: Resize the Acoustic Foam To Best Fit
Measure the designated areas that need to be field cut on the foam and make the appropriate cuts (examples would be around beams, doorways, or if a short piece is needed). After all the pieces have been field cut, put the material back in the appropriate position on the wall or ceiling and lightly mark the bottom and side of where each piece will be lightly with a pencil to ensure straight application.
Step 3: Remove The Adhesive Paper And Stick The Acoustic Foam
Slowly peel off the adhesive paper and hang the insulation mat on the designated surface. Once you peel off the sticker, the Acoustic foam should easily stick to the surface of your choice. Remove all the air bubbles from underneath by flattening them with your hands.

Step 4: Hang the Acoustic Foam With The Marked Line
Line up the materials on marked lines from Step 2 and press firmly against the material compressing the foam. Repeat step for remaining pieces of foam.
?How to cut the Polyester Fabric Panel?
You can use our Heavy-Duty Wood Acoustic Polyester Fabric Panel Cutter to cut your panels
Step 1: Mark the Acoustic Panel to the appropriate size using the tape measure and marker.
Step 2: Cut along the line using the Panel Cutter. With the thicker fabric, it may take several passes to completely cut the Acoustic Studio Panel.
Step 3: An alternate cutting method is to compress the foam along the line marked in Step 1. With the material compressed, it will reduce the number of passes that must be made to completely cut the fabric.

Whoever lives above my apartment has the grace of an elephant - I heard disturbingly loud footsteps all the time, as late as 2AM. And banging the ceiling with a broom wasn't helping them get the picture.I ordered this 12 pack. I did 3 separate 2x2 squares in different sections of the ceiling. This DID NOT eliminate the noise, but has moderately quietened it. I don't have experience with other acoustic panels for comparison, but overall I am satisfied with their performance.
Have not had an opportunity to try in a very crowded room but the exterior sound is much more tolerable. I used them as a decorative arrangement under the windows!
Material is pretty good quality absorbs sound alright but not as much as I thought it would but for how many and the price it's a good combo.
I gave them 5 stars because dim lit I think it looks better than the funky foam stuff from normal studio sound proofing. For me these work great and are the best value to cover the most space. If I change my mind I will update my review.
I placed them under the rug in my bedroom to quell the sound of my footsteps, and it does help a bit, but the pads themselves are very rigid so it sometimes adds to the creakyness of my floorboards.

For orders not yet shipped or shipped but cancelled, there will be a small 15% cancellation fee as items have already been sent to production and this requires disposal of the merchandise.
In the event that your parcel is returned to us, we can resend it to you, but you will have to pay the shipping fee. If you would like to treat it as a return (applicable only for wrong item sent or product quality issues), we will refund the value of the product(s) minus a 50% restocking fee.
