Sound is measured in decibels (dB). A drop of about 10 dB sounds roughly half as loud to most people. These are estimates for a typical home office with full window coverage.

Very thick and much better than expected The blackout effect works very well and the room feels quieter after installation The material inside feels soft like padded fabric and keeps the room warmer too

Its not bad at least the light blocking effect is very good The structure consists of an outer curtain fabric with a layer of ordinary sound absorbing cotton inside The cotton is quite ordinary similar to a comforter filling The sound insulation effect decreased by about 5dB in actual testing The outer curtain fabric and the inner cotton layer are not seamless at the bottom making it an open design You could buy some more high sound absorbing cotton and insert it in the middle then secure it with anti shifting nails for even better results

I tested this beside my window facing the main road and it definitely reduced outside noise It does not remove all sound but makes everything softer and less annoying

Never do business with this company. Advertising quiet guarantees but unwilling to return anything and honor their advertisements. They are a middleman shipping from China. You could get products similar cheaper elsewhere. Strongly advise against doing business with a company who cares so little about customer satisfaction. Once you buy it, only thing you can do is dispute.

Its quite thick and provides good light blocking but its drape could be improved

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊
