Arrowzoom™ Diffuse PRO Waves Hexagon Felt Wooden Panel - KK1416
Regular price $115.00
Regular price $115.00 Sale price $0.00

The organic-curve hex in the Diffuse PRO line — softens hard rooms with curved wave slats while absorbing AND diffusing in one piece. NRC 0.64, M1 fire-rated, 10 wood finishes, hex-tileable into honeycomb feature walls.

★ 4.6 from 33 verified reviews — the most-reviewed panel in the Diffuse PRO line.

Why Waves Hexagon is different

  • Curved wave slats — softer, more organic look than straight-line square panels. The design buyer's choice in the Diffuse PRO line.
  • Absorber + diffuser in one panel — most acoustic panels do only one job. This one does both.
  • Hex tileable — interlock into honeycomb feature walls in any size from 6 to 24+ pieces.
  • Published NRC 0.64 — absorbs ~64% of mid/high-frequency sound energy on contact.
  • M1 fire-rated (Euroclass E) — meets commercial install requirements in offices, restaurants, hospitality.
  • 10 wood finishes — oak veneer and MDF tones to match warm, design-led interiors.

How it works — two acoustic jobs, one hex

ABSORPTION

Foam core kills echo

The M1 fire-class foam behind the wood face captures mid- and high-frequency energy, cutting reverb and room muddiness on contact.

DIFFUSION

Curved wave slats scatter reflections

The organic 3D wave geometry on the oakwood face breaks incoming sound into smaller, scattered reflections from 200 Hz to 5 kHz — so the room stays lively, not dead.

Standard foam panels only absorb. Pure diffusers only scatter. Waves Hexagon does both at once — and the curved wave geometry scatters more naturally than straight-line slats, which is why design-driven studios, restaurants, and listening rooms pick this SKU.

Acoustic performance — what the numbers mean

Waves Hexagon is a combination absorber + diffuser. It reduces echo inside a room and breaks up flutter reflections. It does not block sound transmission through a wall.

Metric Value What it means
NRC 0.64 Absorbs ~64% of mid/high-frequency sound energy on contact
Scattering range 200 Hz – 5 kHz Curved wave slats break up flutter echo across the full speech and music range
Fire class M1 / Euroclass E Meets commercial-install fire requirements in most EU and Asian markets
STC Not rated STC measures wall blocking. For noise transmission between rooms, use mass — not absorption.

NRC 0.64 is the published overall figure for the foam-and-veneer assembly. Lab-measured.

What's in the box

  • 6, 12, or 24 Waves Hexagon panels (selected pack size)
  • 11.8 × 10.2 × 0.4 in / 30 × 26 × 1 cm each
  • Selected oakwood / MDF finish
  • Install guide (mounting hardware sold separately)

Install in 4 steps

1

Plan the honeycomb

Lay hexes on the floor first. Photograph the layout before mounting. Tight honeycomb, gapped honeycomb, or feature-wall cluster — your call.

2

Choose your mount

Construction adhesive for permanent installs. Heavy-duty 3M Command strips or Z-clips for rental-friendly mounting. Hexes are lightweight (0.4 in / 1 cm panels).

3

Mount the panels

Press firmly for 30 seconds. Start with one anchor hex, then tile outward. Use a level to keep the honeycomb axis true.

4

Treat first-reflection points

For studios and listening rooms, cluster hexes at the first-reflection points on side walls and behind the listening position.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the wave hex different from the square Diffuse PRO?
Same foam core, same NRC 0.64, same M1 fire class. The difference is geometry: curved wave slats on a hexagonal panel. Softer, more organic look — better for warm, design-led interiors. The hex shape also tiles into honeycomb feature walls. Pick this SKU when the design matters as much as the acoustics.
Will this block noise from my neighbor or the street?
No. Waves Hexagon is an absorber + diffuser. It reduces echo and breaks up reflections inside a room. Blocking noise through a wall requires mass — extra drywall, mass-loaded vinyl, or a sealed door. Anyone selling a thin foam panel as "soundproofing" is misleading you.
What's the real difference between absorption and diffusion?
Absorption removes sound energy (kills echo). Diffusion scatters it (keeps the room feeling alive without flutter). Pure absorption rooms feel dead. Pure diffusion rooms still have reverb. Waves Hexagon does both — which is why it works in design-driven studios, restaurants, and listening rooms.
How many hexes do I need?
For most home studios and offices, cover 20–30% of reflective wall area. Rough guide: small booth or office (8 × 10 ft / 2.4 × 3 m) → 6–12 hexes. Mid-size studio or restaurant section → 12–24 hexes. Auditorium or large room → 24+ hexes (multiple packs).
Can I tile the hexes into a honeycomb wall?
Yes — that's the design intent. Hexes interlock edge-to-edge into a tight honeycomb, or you can space them out for a gapped cluster look. Lay them on the floor first, photograph the layout, then mount one anchor hex and tile outward.
Is the wood face real oak?
The face is laminated MDF with oakwood veneer — same construction used in commercial acoustic panels and high-end furniture. Solid oak at this slat geometry would crack and cost 5× more. Veneer gives the same look at a usable weight and price.
Can I install this myself? What about rentals?
Yes. Hexes are lightweight (0.4 in / 1 cm). For permanent installs, construction adhesive or screws into wall anchors. For rentals, heavy-duty 3M Command strips, or Z-clip brackets that lift on and off. Mounting hardware is sold separately so you can match the wall.
Is this safe for commercial spaces — restaurants, offices, schools?
Yes. The panel is M1 fire-rated (Euroclass E), which meets commercial fire-safety code in most EU and Asian markets. Always confirm specific local requirements with your fire marshal or architect before installing in public assembly spaces.
How long does shipping take?
Handling 1–2 business days, then standard shipping 7–14 days to the US and most countries (free worldwide on orders $99+). Express shipping is available at checkout — 7 days or less to most destinations.
What's your return policy?
100-day guarantee. If the hexes don't deliver the acoustic or visual result you expected, contact support within 100 days for a full refund. Bulk B2B / contractor orders (100+ panels) follow a separate policy — contact us before placing the order.
How do I clean the curved wave face?
Dry microfiber cloth or soft brush for dust between the wave slats. Slightly damp cloth (water only, well-wrung) for the rare smudge. No solvents, no furniture polish, no spraying — the veneer and the foam core both prefer dry treatment.

What's the difference between impact and airborne noise? 🔊

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

What are decibels? 📏

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!

  • 30-40 dB = Soft music, whisper 🎶
  • 60-80 dB = Office noise, traffic 🚗
  • 85-100 dB (HARMFUL) = Subway, shouted convo, chainsaw ⚠️
  • 100-140 dB (DANGEROUS) = Chainsaw, loud concert, racing, shooting range 🚨
