Twice the thickness. Four acoustic layers instead of two. High-density foam that’s 5× denser than standard acoustic foam. The result: a measurable 30–40 dB drop across the frequencies that matter most — voices, TVs, footsteps, traffic.

Why “Pro”?

A standard hollow-core door rates around STC 20–25 — meaning you hear normal conversation through it clearly. The original Door Kit lifts that to roughly STC 30. The Pro lifts it to STC 35–40 — the threshold where speech becomes a faint murmur and household sound nearly disappears.

Frequently asked

Will it stop bass / low frequencies?

It blocks low-end better than the original kit thanks to the denser foam, but no door treatment alone fully blocks subwoofer-range bass. Combine with the weather strip (KK1154) for best results.

Does it smell?

Some customers notice a mild new-foam odor on day one. It dissipates within 24–48 hours of airing out. It’s not toxic — the foam is E1/B1 certified.

Will the adhesive damage my door?

No. Designed to peel cleanly off painted, laminate, and wood doors. We recommend a small spot test on the bottom edge first.

Can I take it with me when I move?

Yes — though re-application strength drops after removal. Plan to reuse it once.
