NRC ≈ 0.70 means ~70% of speech-band sound energy is absorbed on contact. STC 27 measures broadband transmission loss when applied to a flat reflective surface. Will this block noise from my neighbor or the street?
No. These are absorption tiles — they reduce echo and reverb inside a room. To block noise coming through a wall, you need mass (extra drywall, mass-loaded vinyl, a sealed door). Be skeptical of any foam product that claims true soundproofing.
How many tiles do I need for my room?
Cover ~25–35% of the largest reflective walls for noticeable echo reduction. Quick guide: small vocal booth or home office → 12 × small (8 sq ft / 0.75 m²). Mid-size podcast room → 24 × small or 12 × large (16–32 sq ft / 1.5–3 m²). Home theater or drum room → 24 × large (65 sq ft / 6 m²).
What's the difference between the 25 cm and 50 cm tiles?
Both are 5 cm / 2 in deep with the same wedge profile and acoustic performance. The 50 × 50 cm (19.6 × 19.6 in) tiles install 4× faster — fewer pieces, fewer seams. The 25 × 25 cm (10 × 10 in) tiles let you mix colors in tighter patterns and fit awkward corners more cleanly.
Will the adhesive damage my paint?
On well-cured, fully painted drywall, the YES-adhesive variant typically removes cleanly. On freshly painted walls (under 30 days), wallpaper, or textured surfaces, paint can lift on removal. Test on a hidden corner first, or choose the No-adhesive variant and use Arrowzoom double-sided tape (removable) instead.

Are these fire-safe?
Yes. KK1134 foam is fire-retardant — it self-extinguishes on contact rather than spreading flame. Safe for residential studios, home offices, and theaters. For commercial venues with specific code requirements, request the supplier certification before installing.
Will the wedge foam crumble or shed over time?
The density-0.83 polyurethane core holds its shape for years under normal indoor conditions. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight (UV degrades any foam) and humidity above 70%. Color may slightly fade in direct sun — see Notes below the FAQ.
Can I mix colors?

Will this work on brick, concrete, or textured walls?
