Lay panels on the floor first. Petal-motif panels reward symmetry — try a 2×3, 3×4, or staggered diamond layout before mounting. Photograph it.

Construction adhesive for permanent installs. Heavy-duty Command strips (rated 4–5 lb each) or Z-clip brackets for rental-friendly mounting.

Press firmly for 30 seconds. Start at the center and work outward for a feature wall. Use a level — the petal pattern will visually amplify any misalignment.

Royal Petals (KK1309) is the newest design in the Diffuse PRO line, which has 200+ reviews across SKUs at 4.5★+. The acoustic build, foam, fire rating, and dimensions are identical to the established KK1247 square. Only the face design changed.
Will this block noise from my neighbor or the street?
No. Royal Petals is an absorber + diffuser. It reduces echo and breaks up reflections inside a room. Blocking noise through a wall requires mass — extra drywall, mass-loaded vinyl, or a sealed door. Anyone selling a 2-inch foam panel as "soundproofing" is misleading you.
What's the real difference between absorption and diffusion?
Absorption removes sound energy (kills echo). Diffusion scatters it (keeps the room feeling alive without flutter). Pure absorption rooms feel dead. Pure diffusion rooms still have reverb. Royal Petals does both — which is why it works in hotels, salons, and podcast sets where the room has to feel warm but controlled.
How many panels do I need?
For a feature wall, 6–12 panels (roughly 5–11 sq ft / 0.5–1 m²) is usually plenty. For a full acoustic treatment, cover 20–30% of reflective wall area. Small office / podcast set → 6–12 panels. Salon or restaurant section → 12–24 panels. Lobby or auditorium → 24+ panels (multiple packs).
Is the wood face real oak?
The face is laminated MDF with oakwood veneer — same construction used in commercial acoustic panels and high-end furniture. Solid oak at this petal-cut precision would crack and cost 5× more. Veneer gives the same look at a usable weight (2.2 lb / 1.05 kg per panel) and price.
Can I install this myself? What about rentals?
Yes. For permanent installs, construction adhesive or screws into wall anchors. For rentals, heavy-duty 3M Command strips rated for 4–5 lb each panel, or Z-clip brackets that lift on and off. Mounting hardware is sold separately so you can match the wall.
Is this safe for commercial spaces — hotels, salons, restaurants?

Will it work on brick, concrete, or textured walls?
Yes — with the right hardware. Use masonry anchors and screws for brick and concrete. For heavily textured drywall, construction adhesive bonds better than tape-based mounting. The panels are rigid and flat — the wall surface determines the mount, not the panel.

How do I clean the petal-cut wood face?
Dry microfiber cloth or a soft brush for dust in the petal cutouts. Slightly damp cloth (water only, well-wrung) for the rare smudge. No solvents, no furniture polish, no spraying — the veneer and the foam core both prefer dry treatment.
