Studio-grade echo control, tile by tile.

Pyramid acoustic foam that absorbs echo from voice, music and gaming. Choose the peel-and-stick version for a no-glue install.

Most rooms sound bad for one reason: sound bounces off bare walls. These 2 in (5 cm) pyramid foam tiles absorb it instead, so recordings, calls and music come out clearer. They are made to improve how a room sounds, not to block sound through a wall.

🎙️

Pro tip: on painted drywall older than 5 years, add a strip of mounting putty in each corner. The factory adhesive holds on smooth, clean surfaces, not on dust, eggshell paint, textured walls or brick.
Without the self-adhesive option, mount the tiles with foam-safe spray adhesive or our double-sided acoustic tape (KK1329).

What the numbers mean

NRC 0.74 measures how much sound the foam absorbs. Higher means a quieter, clearer room, and anything above 0.70 is studio-grade. Painted drywall scores about 0.05.

That means roughly 74% of mid-band sound is absorbed instead of bouncing back at your microphone or your ears.

Honest note: foam absorbs sound inside the room. It does not block sound through a wall. For that you need mass, such as mass-loaded vinyl or double drywall.

Longer bar = more absorption. Past the orange line is studio-grade (0.70).

Frequently asked

Will this soundproof my wall so my neighbors cannot hear me?+
No. Acoustic foam absorbs sound inside the room (NRC 0.74, studio-grade). To block sound through a wall you need mass, such as mass-loaded vinyl, double drywall or a Green Glue assembly. Use this foam to make your room sound better on mics and calls.
What does STC 27 mean for me?+
STC measures how much sound passes through a material. STC 27 is what we measured on the foam alone. Foam is bought for absorption (NRC), not for blocking, so do not expect it to stop sound through a wall.
Will the adhesive damage my wall when I take it off?+
On smooth, painted drywall in good condition, usually not. The adhesive peels off cleanly with slow, steady pressure. On older paint, eggshell, wallpaper or freshly painted walls (under 30 days) it may pull off paint. If you rent, use mounting putty or removable strips instead of the factory adhesive.
How many tiles do I actually need?+
You do not need to cover every wall. For a podcast or streaming setup, 12 to 24 tiles around the mic is usually enough. For a home office, 24 to 36 tiles on the wall behind you and the one facing your mic. For a full music room, 48 or more across walls and ceiling corners.
Why does the foam look squashed when it arrives?+
It ships vacuum-sealed. Unbox it and let the tiles sit 24 to 48 hours, and they expand back to the full 2 in (5 cm) on their own. Do not install while compressed, because the adhesive bonds best at full thickness.
Is the foam fire-safe?+
It is treated to be fire-retardant (Class B equivalent in most regions). It resists ignition and self-extinguishes once a flame source is removed. It is not fireproof, so do not install it next to open flame, halogen bulbs or unvented heaters.
Will it work on textured walls or brick?+
Peel and stick works best on smooth, clean, painted drywall. On textured paint, popcorn ceilings, brick or stone the contact area is too small. Use construction adhesive or foam-safe spray adhesive instead.
What size and pack should I order?+
The 10 in (25 cm) tiles are easier to lay out around outlets and vents. The 20 in (50 cm) tiles cover ground faster, since one large tile equals four small. Mix colors for a checkerboard look.
Can I use it on the ceiling?+
Yes, but add a backup. The factory adhesive holds on smooth ceilings short-term, but gravity and dust work against it. For a permanent install, add a few dabs of construction adhesive or use foam-safe spray adhesive.
How long does shipping take?+
Orders ship in 1 to 2 business days. Standard delivery is about 1 to 2 weeks and Express is 1 week or less. Shipping is free on orders over $99 USD.
What is the return policy?+
100-Day Quiet Room Guarantee. If the foam does not solve your echo, send it back for a refund. Tiles must be in resalable condition, so do a small listening test before you stick them all up.

Note: Actual color may slightly differ depending on monitor settings.

1. Airborne Noise

  • This travels through the air, like conversations, TV sounds, or barking dogs. When sound waves hit a building, they cause it to vibrate, transmitting through the structure.

2. Impact Noise

  • This results from physical impacts on buildings, such as footsteps, slamming doors, or moving furniture. Impact noise can be harder to isolate, as these vibrations are stronger and travel further through dense materials.

Decibels are measured logarithmically (not as a percentage) . This means that every increase of 10dB on the scale is a tenfold increase in sound pressure level (SPL) . Near silence is 0dB 🤫, while a sound at 10dB is ten times louder!

  • 30-40 dB = Soft music, whisper 🎶
  • 60-80 dB = Office noise, traffic 🚗
  • 85-100 dB (HARMFUL) = Subway, shouted convo, chainsaw ⚠️
  • 100-140 dB (DANGEROUS) = Chainsaw, loud concert, racing, shooting range 🚨
